New Glassworks at the Raisling

1672 – 1692

The glassworks at the Reisling stream was a wooden structure built around 1671 on stone foundations, which together with a glass chamber, beer cellar, and residential buildings formed an industrial settlement complex as the central workshop. At this facility, a workforce of up to 56 people produced a wide range of glassware at a domed melting furnace, ranging from hollow and flat glass to specialized 'Pläderl' (small vials).
